Moon Snake Dance

Oil Bar and pastels on canvas. High quality oil bars have a high density of rich color – nothing like crayons – and the pastels are Sennelier iridescent (these are the ones without the wax binder and they almost melt onto the canvas when they touch it). This is from a series of spiritual art pieces that I have done over the years. The usual form that the pieces in this series has is of a mandala. So, this one is a little different, but it still shares the ritual aspects that the other pieces in the series have.
